Fake Calls in the Callie app are phone calls from a real phone number that play back a voice recording. They're a great way to get out of an awkward or unsafe situation by making it known to the surrounding people that you're on the phone. What's more, they're completely free for all users!

Triggering a Fake Call

  1. Press the 'phone' button on the main screen of the Callie app

  2. You are prompted with confirmation dialogue, tap 'Call me'

  3. We will now call you

  4. Answer the phone and listen to the voice recording

Customisation

  • Voice recordings: Choose from a variety of messages to be played back (male or female). Simply navigate to 'Menu > Fake Call', and select the one you would like. Make sure to turn your phones silent mode off to listen as you choose.

  • Add to contacts: Add the Fake Call phone number to your contacts so it looks more life-like. Simply navigate to 'Menu > Fake Call', accept contact permissions and select 'Add to contacts' next to the listed phone number. Now choose a name and save.
